The ancient gods and goddesses knew that their powers would fade away. But they also believed in a glorious return and regaining their former positions and attributes. Before entering another dimension, they hid their books, monuments and technology on places in space/time, they would remember upon arrival.

When acting as or being a god, these old rulers and mistresses, needed worship, divine attention and continuous ritualistic murder. This was hard to maintain, when being absent, you think. Even to this day millions of animals and birds are ritually slaughtered, sometimes millions of sheep on one day.

But the divine needed a firm place in our daily life and worship. The power of prayer, simultaniously and on a daily basis. This is the energy these cosmic parasites need and we are doing exactly as planned, thousands of years ago. Not only Jahweh, Allah, Visjnoe or Buddha are part of this pandemonium; older and darker forms re-appear.
